Vancouver Centennial Plaques 1 to 10

10 plaques found (or confirmed missing), written up and drawn here.
I’m also posting each day on Instagram, plus you can have a look at the other 100Dayers.
But after completing 10% of the project, I think it’s time for some pointless analysis!
10% into the project and I’ve found two plaques still up, with old StreetView evidence of another one, and confirmed the other seven are missing. For the category of the “thing” being commemorated, six plaques are for places and four for events. And neighbourhood-wise, eight of the plaques were Downtown and two were in Mount Pleasant.
I’ve also made a map, so you can visit the sites yourself!
I’ll be using the handy map and searching out several of these , starting with Houdini. And I think all teachers should take note - wouldn’t this be a brilliant History teaching tool!?
